SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), May 12 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists visiting North Macedonia went up 36.7% year-on-year to 55,270 in March, the statistical office said on Monday.
The number of overnight stays by foreign tourists in North Macedonia increased 29.7% year-on-year, to 95,071 in March, Makstat said in a statement.
In March, 10,410 of the foreign tourists visiting North Macedonia were from Germany, 9,380 came from Turkey, and 4,648 were from France.
The number of domestic tourists in North Macedonia totalled 15,632 in March, down 15.2% compared to the same month last year. They spent 36,944 overnights, a decrease of 10.6% compared with March 2024.
