A member of the Greece Police Department went above and beyond the call of duty Monday.
Officer Jonathan Harden had an unexpected traffic stop when he noticed a little yellow “puffball,” which turned out to be a wayward duckling, in the road near Straub and Long Pond roads.
He carefully cradled the baby bird and gave it some water and a safe place to nap at one of the Greece police stations.
The department named the duckling “Honk Solo.”
