South Florida fifth grader wins national award for science education

NOW TO THE NEWS WE LOVE. A FIFTH GRADER IN PORT SAINT LUCIE WINNING A NATIONAL AWARD FOR TEACHING SCIENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. AND YOU MIGHT RECOGNIZE HIM. HE WAS RECENTLY FEATURED HERE ON WPBF 25 AND ON THE JENNIFER HUDSON SHOW. THIS IS DENZEL IRVING, A THIRD GRADER. OH, NO, HE’S DENZEL IRVING, THE THIRD. HE’S A FIFTH GRADER. HE’S KNOWN AS PROFESSOR D3. HE WAS AWARDED THE MARY DESHA FOUNDER’S MEDAL FOR YOUTH IN FORT PIERCE THIS WEEK. NOW, THIS AWARD IS A BIG DEAL CELEBRATING YOUNG LEADERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY FOR THEIR POSITIVE COMMUNITY IMPACT. IN FACT, HE IS JUST ONE OF ONLY 14 FLORIDIANS TO RECEIVE THIS MEDAL.
