Need a bit of summer cool before hitting the pool? Mid-morning, midweek movies are back at Columbia’s Forum 8 theater as part of the GQT Movies Summer Family Flicks series.
For 10 weeks from early June through early August, the theater will screen a selection of recent family fare that’s heavy on franchises and fresh takes on existing characters.
Odie and Garfield are best buds in “The Garfield Movie.”
Here’s a quick preview of coming attractions. All films were released in 2024 and are rated PG, except where noted:

Films will screen at 10 a.m. each Wednesday and Thursday; tickets are $2 per person, and viewers are encouraged to arrive early for the first-come, first-served seating.
