According to United States Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, big changes are coming to SNAP in Nebraska.
Beginning January 1, 2026, Nebraska will become the first state to ban soda, soft drinks, and energy drinks from SNAP.
Secretary Rollins during her visit Monday, announced and signed a declaration making Nebraska the first state to ban soda, soft drinks, and energy drinks from SNAP. The ban will last for two years.
