SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 21 (SeeNews) – The number of registered unemployed persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina totalled 324,233 in March, reflecting an annual decrease of 3.3%, the country’s statistics office said in a report.
Compared to February, the number of unemployed people remained the same in March, the Agency for Statistics said on Monday.
Most of the registered unemployed in March, 102,475, were highly skilled and skilled people, followed by unqualified ones, 94,429, and holders of high school diplomas, 92,320.
The lowest number of registered unemployed were semi-skilled workers, with 4,412 people, followed by those with a two-year college education, at 5,011.
In 2024, the number of registered unemployed people in Bosnia decreased by 5.8% year-on-year.
Bosnia has a population of about 3.5 million, according to the latest census held in 2013.
