La Plata is a rock, post-pus, pop band and electronically originally from Valencia, Spain, formed in 2017. Its sound is characterized by a fusion of intense guitars, bright synthesizers, accelerated rhythms and melancholic letters that reflect existential concerns, youth emotions and modern disenchantment. This sound has recently evolved to a more leisurely and dreamlike sound on its latest album.
Your first EP, "A jam" (2017), introduced a post-pink and dark pop sound with introspective letters, and put them in the center of the Spanish scene. In fact, his first concert in Valencia is incredible, you see everyone chanting his songs.
The EP was followed by his debut album "Disorder" (2018), who consolidated his presence in the Spanish indie scene and in my opinion is one of the best albums of the Spain and perhaps one of the best debuts. In 2019, they launched the EP "01 03 2019"continuing his sound exploration with tenth victim and several incredible songs. Your second album, "Direct action" (2022), followed that style, but putting new voices of other members and even having influences of Math-rock. In 2023, the EP "Dreams" It marked a turn to electronics, incorporating elements of drum’n’bass and grunge, a very brave EP. Finally, in 2025, La Plata launched "Banned"which combines the intensity of its beginnings with sophisticated production, exploring new textures and consolidating its sound change towards a more electronic and dreamlike style.
Today I consider silver one of the best bands in Spain in recent years, for its experimentation, its live, its unmistakable aesthetics and the changes of its sound, in addition to its lyrics.
The song I have put is "Leave"one of my favorites and the most famous of them.
