SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), May 22 (SeeNews) – The loan portfolio of North Macedonia’s commercial banks rose 11.8% year-on-year to 508.5 billion denars ($9.4 billion/8.3 billion euro) at the end of April, the central bank said.

The bank’s loan portfolio edged up 0.8% at the end of April, compared with the end of March, the central bank said in a statement on Wednesday.

Loans to the corporate sector grew 14.1% on the year, reaching nearly 249.5 billion denars at the end of April, while loans to households totalled 256.3 billion denars, up 9.8%.
