PRISTINA (Kosovo), May 23 (SeeNews) – Kosovo’s trade deficit increased to 492.3 million euro ($558.2 million) in April, from 427.5 million euro in the same month of last year, the statistical office, ASK, said on Friday.
Exports ticked up by 0.9% year-on-year to 73.8 million euro, while imports grew 13.1% to 566.2 million euro in April, ASK said in a statement.
Main export groups in April included base metals and articles thereof, at 23.1% of the total; plastics, rubber, and related products at 13.9%; processed foods at 11.8%; and miscellaneous manufactured articles, at 10.1%.
Kosovo’s main source of imports in April was Turkey, accounting for 14% of the total, while Kosovo exported most of its goods, 15.9%, to North Macedonia.
