The Italian restaurant reimagines the space of Ballo Italian Kitchen & Bar, located in the of Casino of the Earth, “starting a new era of Italian dining,” Mohegan Sun public relations specialist Jack Graham said in an email.

The renovated dining space includes features like a gold-accented archways, a marble bar, brick walls, custom warm lighting and imported trees, Graham said.

“While the architectural grandeur of Ballo Italian remains intact, The Farm Italy Mohegan Sun reveals a breathtaking transformation — evoking the rustic elegance of an Italian countryside estate,” Graham said. “This is more than a restaurant — it’s a retreat and a showpiece of elevated hospitality.”

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. on Friday, Graham said. While the restaurant’s menu will feature signature dishes like branzino, pappardelle bolognese, cacio e pepe and a New York strip steak, favorite menu items from Ballo will still be offered, including the fritto misto, chicken parmesan, meatballs, caprese, pork chop and tiramisu, Graham said.

To compliment its food menu items, the restaurant will offer drinks such as a blood orange margarita, a nero old fashioned and a cucumber spritz mocktail, Graham said.

The Farm Italy has a location in Huntington, New York, and another new location is coming soon to Westbury, New York, according to the restaurant’s website. The restaurant was named to OpenTable’s “Top 100 restaurants in the U.S. for 2023.” The list was put together based on more than 12 million diner reviews and dining metrics like diner ratings and five-star reviews, officials said.
