The Italian Embassy in Pristina hosted a reception this evening to mark Italy’s National Day, bringing together prominent figures from across Kosovo.

Italy’s new ambassador, Maurizio Antonini, emphasized that Italy’s Republic Day is a symbol of national unity and democracy. In his address, Antonini reaffirmed Italy’s support for Kosovo’s European integration, highlighting the importance of EU enlargement in the Balkans as a key strategy for ensuring political stability and security across the continent.

President Vjosa Osmani also addressed the event, expressing deep gratitude for Italy’s unwavering friendship and support during Kosovo’s most difficult times and throughout its path toward EU membership.

The celebration was attended by accredited ambassadors in Pristina and various political leaders—though notably, Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti was not present.
