The acting head of the Government of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted today in a meeting several members of the US Congressional staff, who are part of the “2025 Balkan Forward Fellows” program.

In the OPM announcement, Kurti thanked them for their interest and commitment to the region.

Kurti also spoke about the relationship between Kosovo and the US, a relationship he claims has “been strengthened over the years” through bipartisan support in the US, although as Prime Minister of Kosovo he himself was in constant conflict with the first Trump Administration and brought relations with the US to the lowest level during Joe Biden’s presidency.

The head of the LVV also mentioned the dialogue process with Serbia that is mediated by the EU, reiterating the importance of signing the Brussels Basic Agreement and its Annex in Ohrid.

“During the conversation, Kosovo’s journey towards the European Union and the relevant reforms, the strengthening of Kosovo’s international subjectivity, and the dialogue process with Serbia mediated by the European Union were discussed. Regarding the latter, the Prime Minister reiterated the importance of signing the Brussels Basic Agreement and its Annex agreed in Ohrid,” the OKM reports./Express/
