Chicken N Pickle

Chicken N Pickle currently operates 13 locations across seven states.

Chicken N Pickle is shifting its growth strategy.

The Kansas City-based entertainment and dining chain has announced that it is “shifting its focus” towards acquiring complementary entertainment and hospitality concepts, as well as exploring city partnerships to build public pickleball court facilities, with an emphasis on key growth markets such as Houston, Phoenix and Denver.

The brand, which offers guests chef-driven food and beverage options, pickleball courts and “lively community atmosphere,” said that rising construction costs and uncertainty surrounding “international economic headwinds” have played a role in the strategy shift. However, Chicken N Pickle’s optimism remains “high” as it re-evaluates its previously announced new locations and continues to refine the brand concept for future locations.

“Growth isn’t just about footprint, it’s also about flexibility,” said Brad Clarke, CEO of Chicken N Pickle, which was founded in 2016. “We are responding to what we are hearing: cities want partners, consumers want meaningful experiences, and brands need to build with purpose. We believe we can grow faster and smarter by leveraging both community collaboration and business agility; exploring smart, sustainable growth opportunities that keep us close to the community while expanding the ways we connect with our guests.”
