Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timco Muçunski, as part of his working visit to Paris, today met with Benjamin Haddad, France’s Minister Delegate for Europe.

“We talked about our country’s progress on the path towards the European Union, the current political situation in the region, and the importance of our role as a responsible factor actively contributing to stability and security in the region,” Mucunski wrote on his Facebook page.

At the same time, the minister adds, both confirmed France’s strong and significant support for our European perspective.

“I emphasized the country’s strong commitment to reforms and full membership in the Union, as well as our principled stance regarding European integration – based on predictability, credibility and clear rules in the process,” Mucunski declared.

Earlier, Mucunski met with his host, France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot.

“We expressed our satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations and discussed further strong and deepened cooperation between the two countries – both at the political and economic levels, strengthening cooperation between companies and governments. I expressed my sincere gratitude for the support from France after the tragedy in Kocani,” Mucunski wrote.
