When it comes to the best quarterbacks in the 2026 recruiting class, four of the top five recruits are already committed ahead of their senior season. While there are the usual suspects such as Texas who holds a commitment from Dia Bell, or Tennessee who holds a commitment from the No. 1 player in the class in Faizon Brandon, there is also a non-traditional school in the mix.

Keisean Henderson, who ranks as the No. 2 quarterback in the country and No. 3 player overall in 247Sports’ rankings is committed to the Houston Cougars. As it stands right now, he’s the second-highest ranked recruit in program history, and has a slew of other programs after him.

One notable ACC powerhouse that was looking to flip him were the Florida State Seminoles. They were set to host him for an official visit in the coming days, but in a statement to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Henderson revealed plans have changed.

Henderson is not only no longer taking a visit to Tallahassee, but is also shutting down his recruitment.

““I felt the love from day one and I feel like there is nowhere I would rather be #Kei2dacity,” Henderson told On3.

Henderson chose Houston last May, and holds at least 40 offers from programs such as Alabama, Texas A&M, Colorado, Georgia and Oregon among others.

With head coach Willie Fritz heading into his second year as the head coach, Henderson is easily the biggest recruiting win of his tenure, and is the type of player that can change the trajectory for years to come.
