The Albanian Football Federation on Monday published a notice of a letter of thanks it received from “a group of disabled students from Kosovo, ‘Handicap Students of Kosovo’, after the Albania – Serbia match.”

Recently, the Albanian Football Association and its president, Armand Duka, have been harshly criticized by many Albanian fans for organizing the 21 U2027 European Championship together with Serbia and for the way they distributed tickets for Saturday night’s match with Serbia.

“These students were part of a large group of representatives from the Association of the Blind, the Association of the Disabled, as well as individuals with disabilities from inside and outside Albania, all of Albanian origin, to whom the Albanian Football Association offered the opportunity to watch the Albania – Serbia match,” the Albanian Football Association’s announcement reads.

In their letter, the students from Kosovo express their gratitude to the President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, and all the organizational staff, for the hospitality, care and dignified treatment they were offered throughout their stay in Tirana.

The AFF has also published the full content of the letter from this student group.

Honorable President of the Albanian Football Association, Mr. Duka,

Dear Ms. Pamela,
Dear members of the AFF,

Through this e-mail, we express our gratitude for the hospitality and care shown to us yesterday.

We are, in fact, two countries because history has divided us unjustly, but in our hearts we will always be united in support of the red and black national team, because our hearts do not beat differently.

Grateful for your work and commitment!
With respect, Handicap Students of Kosovo.
