Woodburn died Monday following a “short illness,” her manager confirms to Entertainment Weekly via email.

Woodburn’s husband posted a statement to Instagram announcing his wife’s death, writing, “My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love, xx xx” alongside a photo of her as a child.
On March 2, Woodburn’s Instagram account shared a post indicating that she would not be able to film any videos for fans for the foreseeable future, “due to a health problem,” the image noted.
Woodburn’s How Clean Is Your House? cohost Aggie MacKenzie reacted to news of her former collaborator’s death in an interview with The Sun, during which she called Woodburn “a tormented soul,” but celebrated that “she’s finally at peace.”
She continued, “We clashed often. Behind the fierce persona was deep pain and incredible strength. She survived because she had to. I hope she’s resting now. She was an unforgettable woman.”
Reactions in the comments under her death announcement praised Woodburn’s life and career, with many queens from the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise sharing their condolences, as the TV star was popular among the United Kingdom queer community — enough so that two Drag Race UK contestants, Victoria Scone and Gothy Kendoll, impersonated her during the fan-favorite Snatch Game improv comedy challenge over the years.

“Gonna miss you friend. Love ya Kim,” wrote Drag Race UK contestant Baga Chipz, while UK vs. the World winner Blu Hydrangea commented a trio of hearts under the post.
In addition to competing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, where she ultimately placed third, Woodburn also competed on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Celeb Cooking School, and released several books.
