From Germany to Kosovo: Package with suspected cannabis seeds seized at customs

At the Postal Goods Clearance Office, during a regular inspection of a package arriving from Germany containing food products, a product suspected of being cannabis seeds for planting was found.

According to the customs notification, during the physical inspection, it was found that one of the products declared as “organic seeds for consumption” contained seeds with an appearance similar to those of the cannabis plant in an amount of about 650 grams.

Upon identifying the suspect, the case was immediately addressed to the Anti-Drug Unit of the Kosovo Police, which responded to the scene.

The police have taken appropriate action, identifying and detaining the person who had come to collect the package. The package with suspicious contents has been seized and handed over to the police for further investigation.

Kosovo Customs and Kosovo Police emphasize that they remain committed to enforcing the law and preventing the entry of prohibited goods into the country, cooperating closely to guarantee security and order.
