Two Kosovo citizens have around 23 thousand undeclared francs seized at the port of Durres

As the Albanian Police reports, the Kosovars “were found hiding a total of 22 Swiss francs and 820 euros on their bodies, which they were attempting to bring into Albania without declaring at the border crossing point.”
Furthermore, it is announced that the materials for the case have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, where proceedings have begun for the Kosovo citizens, EH, 41 years old, and FM, 37 years old.

BCP Port, Durrës/A case of non-declaration of significant amounts of money at the border crossing point is being investigated.
The materials for the case were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, where proceedings were initiated in “free status for Kosovar citizens, EH, 41 years old and FM, 37 years old”.
From the control of the Border Police services of the port of Durrës, carried out based on a risk analysis, two citizens were found to have hidden in their bodies, a total of 22 Swiss francs and 820 euros, which they were attempting to bring into Albania, without declaring them at the border crossing point.
The amount of money was seized by the Police, with the quality of material evidence.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action, for the criminal offense of “Failure to declare money and valuables at the border”.
