Regarding these tests, an EU spokesperson told Gazeta Express that Kosovo institutions were aware.

“Kosovo authorities have been duly informed in advance,” an EU spokesperson told Express.

This assessment of the structure of the Ibar Bridge, says this EU spokesperson, does not signal a change in the status quo regarding the Ibar Bridge, but is intended to ensure that any decision regarding the future of the Bridge is based on accurate data.

“This assessment does not signal any change to the status quo, but aims to ensure that any decision regarding the future of the bridge is based on up-to-date, accurate and objective technical data,” the European Union spokesperson further added to Express.

Regarding the future of the Ibar Bridge, Brussels says that the EU is coordinating closely with its partners and has asked Kosovo institutions to refrain from any uncoordinated decisions, including the intention to build two new bridges adjacent to the main bridge.

“The EU is closely coordinating with its international partners in Kosovo regarding the future of the bridge. In the meantime, we urge the Kosovo authorities to refrain from any uncoordinated actions, including the construction of adjacent bridges. All agreements of the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, including those related to the bridge, must be fully implemented,” the EU spokesperson concluded for Gazeta Express. /GazetaExpress/
