The Indiana Fever are headed into enemy territory for their next game.
Indiana is preparing for a matchup against the Minnesota Lynx, who are ranked as the No. 1 team in the WNBA with a 14-2 record.

The Fever are looking to gain momentum with a win in the Commissioner’s Cup Championship. A win for Indiana would be the first of its kind for the Fever, earning the franchise a cup championship under head coach Stephanie White.
White is currently in her first season back with the Fever, looking to lead a star-studded team with Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, to a win against the Lynx.
Before the matchup took place, White shared her thoughts on the WNBA’s Commissioner’s Cup Championship, mentioning that the Fever will take immense pride in winning their first-ever in-season tournament.
“We’re taking a lot of pride in it,” White said. “Another opportunity to compete. Another opportunity to get better. Another opportunity to create a first for this franchise. Certainly, yes, the added bonus that our players get is a motivation. The bigger picture; the opportunity to win a championship, a first championship here in Indiana.”

While the Indiana Fever have certainly improved from last season, they have dealt with numerous injuries, currently dealing with an issue from Caitlin Clark.

Clark has been out for the last two games due to a groin injury. Before then, Clark was sidelined with a quadriceps injury, missing five games for the Fever.
The Fever have yet to announce Clark’s final injury status, but they’ll surely have their hands full against Minnesota.
Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever will be facing WNBA MVP candidate Napheesa Collier, who’s posted 24.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
