As reported by the website of the Lithuanian Migration Department
In Lithuania, a temporary residence permit was revoked for the first time from a Russian citizen due to frequent trips to Russia without “objective” reasons. This information was published by the Migration Department on its official website.
Currently, 33 more Russians are under review, and in the near future, their residence permits in Lithuania may also be canceled, department representatives reported.
Travel restrictions for citizens of Russia and Belarus from Lithuania to their countries came into effect in May of this year. According to Lithuanian officials, since then, 292 citizens of Russia and Belarus holding residence permits in Lithuania have visited their homelands more than once, although many of these cases fall under exceptions.
According to current legislation, there is a possibility of revoking temporary residence permits in Lithuania for Russian citizens if they have made trips to Russia or Belarus more than once within the last three months, the migration authority notes.
