Serbia and North Macedonia officially launch One Stop Shop system at Tabanovec border crossing today

As of today, the One Stop Shop system has officially been put into operation at the Tabanovec border crossing with Serbia.
With the establishment of the One Stop Shop, entry to North Macedonia will be controlled only by our country’s police, while exit from our country to Serbia will be controlled only by the Serbian police.
According to the two Ministers of Internal Affairs, Pance Toshkovski and Ivica Dacic, the signing of this agreement will facilitate the movement of citizens of both countries, as well as foreign visitors who visit the two states.
“Border control that should ensure faster movement for our citizens, border control that should enable less waiting, border control that should improve conditions within the framework of the competencies we have as the Minister of Internal Affairs,” declared Pance Toshkovski, Minister of Internal Affairs of Macedonia.
“I am from that generation that did not have high technology and technical skills and I do not have much faith in all of it. But, I hope that everything will work out the way we planned and that it will result in the shortest possible wait and that citizens will be satisfied,” said Ivica Dacic, Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia.
Until now, the Tabanoc border crossing was among the most frequented, especially during the summer, where people waited for hours to cross, with long lines forming both at the entrance and exit of this border crossing.
In addition to Tabanoci, OneStopShop, this year also began operating on the border with Kosovo, while Toshkovski warned that this practice will soon be implemented with the Republic of Albania. / Alsat.mk
