Egypt says Ethiopia’s completed power-generating dam lacks a legally binding agreement

Ethiopia’s PM Abiy Ahmed announced the Grand Renaissance Dam, which has long been a source of tension with Egypt, will open in September, becoming Africa’s largest hydroelectric plant. Built on the Blue Nile, the project alarms Egypt, who fear it threatens their water supply.
