There is something absolutely rotten in festival culture at the moment. Who sees a band that stand up on stage and shout “Death to every IDF soldier out there” and thinks “Yep, that’s something I’ll stand up for?”

    Edit:

Link to the video for those so terminally addicted to their narrative they deny reality: [https://x.com/koshercockney/status/1940650478431355178](https://x.com/koshercockney/status/1940650478431355178)

  2. Insane that this is the world we live in, that punk music acts aren’t expected to speak out against state-sanctioned genocide. Shame on everyone in the UK who has looked the other way while Gaza suffers. Shame on everyone who doesn’t care that their own government wholly and utterly supports it. Good on these bands, history will look kinder on them than on Sunak and Starmer.

People can be annoyed about them being pulled from the lineup if they like, but it’s hardly a surprise, is it.

A band who’ve caused a significant controversy at one festival being uninvited from playing at other festivals? What a shocking turn of events. Who could have possibly predicted this?

They should have removed them for being middle class guys pretending to be street and copying actual working class UK artists and appropriating the culture in a poor imitation. Probably why they went down well at Glastonbury because that’s the whole festival vibe outside of the calls for violence which to be fair were very much against the ethos of the festival.

As a counter, why do the media not report about what the IDF has been doing in Palestine and to the Palestinian people? If criticism of the IDF is not warranted then prove it.

  6. So even shittier and less well known collections of nobodies are piping up? Who cares?
