Country star Luke Bryan made his debut at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers in June, making history as the first artist to play inside the venue.

With a night full of community, music, and good vibes, it begs the question: Will there be more concerts at JetBlue Park?

The venue has a tie to Fenway Park, which has an iconic baseball and concert history. JetBlue Park at Fenway South is the spring training home for the Boston Red Sox, but team officials say it’s blossoming into more.

Fenway South is now the biggest concert venue in Southwest Florida, with a 17,000 capacity. For reference, Hertz Arena can hold 8,500 and Hammond Stadium can hold 9,300.

Bryan’s performance marks the start of bringing big-name acts to Southwest Florida. Upcoming shows could mean a huge economic boost for our area, according to Larry Cancro, senior vice president of Fenway concerts and entertainment for the Red Sox.

So when can we expect more shows? Most shows will typically happen when the weather cools down and hurricane season is over.

Any musical acts currently playing other Florida ampitheaters could be contenders for Fort Myers shows according to Cancro.
