TULSA, OKLA (KTUL) — A mountain biker was rescued at Turkey Mountain on Sunday after breaking a leg while navigating a new downhill trail.

    The Tulsa Fire Department, along with EMSA, responded to the location and safely removed the injured rider from the trail named “Where’s My Jet”, which is rated black/expert.

    The TFD Bike Team helped pinpoint the biker’s location, allowing crews to respond without delay. The River Parks Authority was also recognized for its efforts to maintain and improve the trail system at Turkey Mountain.

    Riders are encouraged to stay aware of trail difficulty ratings and take all necessary safety precautions at the park.
