Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at a meeting of the Kosovo Government, spoke about the tragic case of the death of 27-year-old Agon Zejnullahu, a case for which five Kosovo police officers have been arrested as suspects of “Murder by Negligence”.
Kurti has addressed the public discussions that are taking place regarding the case. According to Kurti, the tendency to campaign against the Kosovo Police is harmful and is not a solution.
“The public discussions that are taking place and the public judgments that are being given are difficult for the Zejnullahu family and the friends of the deceased. At the same time, the tendency to launch an anti-campaign against the Kosovo Police is harmful and is not a solution. Calls for justice and accountability are right, but they are realized with full results of the investigation and a professional verdict based on them. Only then can we ensure accountability for the case and guarantees that similar situations will never be repeated,” Kurti said. /Express/
