Emergency Management Agency: 15 active fire outbreaks in open plains and mountains in Kosovo

The Emergency Management Agency has announced that there are currently 15 active fire outbreaks in open plains and mountains.

There is material damage, but no people are injured.

AME calls on citizens to avoid starting fires in open spaces and to report any suspected fires.

Active foci are located in:

Mitrovica Municipality in the village of Rashan

Municipality of Skenderaj in the village of Llaushe, active fire where the Professional Fire and Rescue Unit (PFRU) and the Kosovo Police of Skenderaj intervened, while with the coordination of the Emergency Management Agency, assistance was also provided from the air by helicopter, from the capacity of KFOR.

Municipality of Ferizaj in the village of Burrnik

Municipality of Gjakova in the village of Shkukëz

Klina Municipality in the village of Ujmir active fire, mountainous area difficult to access for firefighters from the ground

Municipality of Leposaviq in the village of Trebice, active fire confirmed by the Agency’s Emergency Operations Center (QOE 112 Gjilan):

Municipality of Podujeva in the villages of Batllavë, Belloshë, Hërticë four (4) active fires;

Municipality of Novo Brdo in the village of Jesenovik;
