The chairman of the Alliance for Albanians in North Macedonia, Arben Taravari, says he does not regret entering the government, but says that they entered by promising Albanians change after 20 years.

Taravari said on the Pressing show on T7 that it was time for DUI to go into opposition.

“In Macedonia, there was a party that was in power, DUI, like the PDK that was in Kosovo for almost 20 years. After 20 years, Albanians were demanding change.

In 2024, we decided to join the united Albanian opposition, to break away from the government. We promised Albanians to bring change to them after 20 years.

“Our entry into the government was absolutely legitimate, did I regret it, not at all. I think it was the right moment for DUI to go into opposition. It is natural for a party to be in the position and in the opposition,” he said.
