The stage is set for the women’s singles final at Wimbledon, with No. 8 Iga Świątek and No. 13 Amanda Anisimova competing for the title at Center Court on Saturday.
Anisimova is looking for her first Grand Slam tournament title and her fourth professional trophy. The 23-year-old American secured her spot in the final after upsetting No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in three sets on Thursday. She is facing Świątek after wins over Yulia Putintseva, Renata Zarazúa, Dalma Gálfi, Linda Nosková, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Sabalenka. With a win, she’d be the first American to secure the Wimbledon women’s title since tennis legend Serena Williams in 2019.

Świątek breezed through the tournament, losing just one set in her first six matches at Wimbledon. The No. 8 player in the world scorched through Polina Kudermetova, Caty McNally, Danielle Collins, Clara Tauson, Liudmila Samsonova, and Belinda Bencic.
The Polish star is looking for her sixth Grand Slam title and first at Wimbledon. Świątek won the French Open in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024. She also emerged victorious at the 2022 US Open and has won 22 WTA singles titles throughout her career.
Świątek looks to bounce back from her final defeat at the Bad Homburg Open in June and win her first title in 2025. Anisimova won her third professional title in the 2025 Qatar Total Energies Open in February.
