President Begaj meets Ali Ahmeti: Albanians in North Macedonia, a state-forming factor and unwavering support for the Euro-Atlantic path

During his one-day visit to North Macedonia, the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, held a special meeting with the leader of the Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti.

In a post on social media, President Begaj highly praised the role of Albanians in the political life of the neighboring country and shared his appreciation for Ahmeti’s contribution to this process.

“It is always a pleasure to meet and share thoughts with Ali Ahmeti. Albanians in North Macedonia are a decisive state-building factor and unwavering supporters of the country’s Euro-Atlantic path, repeatedly demonstrating commitment to peace, stability, coexistence and democratic values,” wrote President Begaj.

The meeting with the leader of the DUI took place during the Albanian President’s working visit to Ohrid, where the day before he had been received by the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova.

At the center of this visit were relations between the two countries, European integration, and the promotion of joint projects between the two peoples.

In his message, President Begaj emphasized the unifying role of Albanians in North Macedonia, describing them as a bridge and a guarantee for shared progress in the region.
