Krasniqi after meeting with senior US official: US our most important ally – Kosovo their steadfast partner

The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, met today with Brendan Hanrahan, Senior Official for European Affairs at the US Department of State.

During the meeting in Pristina, Krasniqi discussed with the American official current political developments in Kosovo and the region, reiterating PDK’s commitment to inter-party cooperation, building functional institutions, and providing solutions that directly serve the citizens of Kosovo.

Krasniqi emphasized the need for sustainable stability, economic growth, and development in all areas, as prerequisites for democratic progress and international integration.

The meeting also discussed the vital importance of continued American support for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path, including efforts for membership in international organizations.

The necessity of reaching a final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, with mutual recognition at the center, was also emphasized, as well as the irreplaceable role of the United States of America in maintaining peace and stability in the Western Balkans.

“The US remains our strongest and most important ally. Kosovo is and will remain their steadfast partner,” Memli Krasniqi wrote after the meeting.
