LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A volunteer from the American Red Cross of Southern Nevada is heading north to help wildfire evacuees.

A spokesperson says the trained disaster relief volunteer was expected to deploy Monday morning to Manitoba, Canada, where more than 12,500 people have fled their homes.
