8-year-old from Kosovo goes missing on Shëngjin beach, police find him an hour later

The State Police in Albania have announced that today a child from Kosovo was reported missing on the beach of Shëngjin.
However, after about an hour, it was reported that the child had been found after being separated from his parents.
The press release states that police officers in Shëngjin handed over the 8-year-old child to the family, in good health.
“The Lezha DVP Operations Room was notified by a vacationer from Kosovo that her son had disappeared and could not be found. Immediately after receiving the notification, the Police services that patrol the beach area in Shëngjin on bicycles were engaged and coordinated actions with the beach watchman to find the child.”
“After about an hour of intensive field searches, police officers located the minor near a hotel. The child was in good health and was immediately returned to his mother,” the announcement states.
Police announced that the child’s mother thanked the police and beach lifeguards for the quick and professional response that contributed to finding the minor.
