DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – The Twelve Holy Apostles Church will be hosting its annual “Taste of Greece” event this weekend at Marshall School.

The church is making the final preparations as an expected three thousand people will attend the two-day event.

Guests can enjoy traditional Greek dishes including gyros, shish-kabobs and baklava. There will also be traditional Greek performances.

What once started in their church more than 30 years ago has now expanded to inside and outside of Marshall school, and they say it’s all thanks to community support.

“We have a pretty captive crowd now, and so if we don’t do it, I think we would hear about it, you know?” said church volunteer Lee Regas. “But we intend to continue to do this as long as people are turning out for it.”

The church also offers carry-out options for those on the go. To learn more about the event, click here.
