Fáilte Ireland has opened Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Phase two of Access for Success, a national support initiative designed to help hotels implement inclusive and accessible practices.

The initiative is a key part of Fáilte Ireland’s strategic commitment to positioning Ireland as a world-leading accessible tourism destination by 2030.

“Accessible and inclusive tourism is no longer optional, it’s essential,” said Jenny De Saulles, director of sector development at Fáilte Ireland. “Through Access for Success, we’re equipping hotels with the tools, insights, and support they need to lead in inclusive hospitality.”

Launched earlier this year, Access for Success provides hotels with practical tools, expert guidance, and access to a network of professionals dedicated to inclusive excellence.

The initiative aims to ensure every guest feels genuinely welcomed and supported, while helping businesses unlock new market opportunities, improve service delivery, and build long-term resilience.

The importance of improving accessible and inclusive tourism provision is underscored by research from Fáilte Ireland, which reveals that 90% of tourism businesses already offering accessible services report positive impacts, including happier guests, enhanced brand reputation, and a growing customer base.

The research also showed that almost half of Irish tourism businesses (43%) are actively seeking to improve how they provide accessibility information.

Whether a hotel is just beginning its accessibility journey or looking to enhance existing efforts, Access for Success offers tailored support at every stage.

It is subsidised by Fáilte Ireland, with up to 70% of costs covered. All hotels registered under the National Quality Assurance Framework (NQAF) are eligible to apply.

“This is about more than compliance, it’s about creating meaningful, memorable experiences for every visitor,” said Jenny De Saulles.

“By investing in accessibility today, hotels can expand their market, enhance guest satisfaction, and contribute to a stronger, more sustainable tourism sector.”
