Syla: The person arrested in Serbia does not appear as a KLA soldier

ok

The deputy leader of the OVL-UCK, Gazmend Syla, says that the person arrested yesterday in Serbia does not appear to be a soldier of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Syla, in an interview with KosovaPress, said that according to the archives of this organization, the person arrested last night in Serbia is not a KLA veteran.

“No, according to the data we have, the War Veterans Organization that possesses its archive, as well as the list of Kosovo veterans, the person in question does not turn out to be a fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army, or does not have the status of a KLA veteran,” he said.

Syla confirmed that Peja’s comrades also claimed that they had not seen the person in question at any KLA activity.

“Given the fact that many freedom fighters have not applied for war veteran status at all, we were interested last night and today during the day we communicated with fellow fighters from the city of Peja and the neighborhood where he lived, and they testify to this and say that they have never met him on the war lines or on the war fronts or even in any other KLA activity,” he concluded.

We recall that yesterday Serbian media reported on the arrest of a former KLA soldier in Serbia. The arrested person with the initials LH was detained in the Serbian town of Svilajnac on Tuesday./KosovaPress.
