KLA OVL: The person arrested in Serbia was not part of the KLA

Vice President of the KLA War Veterans Organization, Gazmend Syla, has confirmed to RTK that the person recently arrested in Serbia does not appear on any of the official lists of veterans, and is not known by any former soldiers in the area where he allegedly operated during the war.
Denying the news, Syla emphasized that the person in question was not part of the known KLA structures.
“He does not appear on any of the lists, but he is not known by any former soldiers in the area where he is alleged to have been in the war,” he said.
Serbian media reported yesterday about the arrest of a former KLA soldier in Serbia. According to these media, the former fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army, LH, was arrested on Tuesday in the town of Svilajnac, Serbia.
According to reports, the 59-year-old from Peja has been ordered to be detained for 48 hours by the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office in Serbia, on suspicion of “crimes against humanity and war crimes” committed during the war in Kosovo.
“He was arrested on suspicion of committing crimes against humanity and war crimes on the territory of Kosovo,” Serbian media reported.
