The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timço Mucunski, today, as part of his working visit to Greece, met with the Head of Greek Diplomacy, Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis.
The North Macedonian Foreign Ministry says that the ministers expressed satisfaction with today’s meeting, at a time when both sides are committed to improving relations between the two countries. They had an open conversation and exchange of views on several issues of common interest.
At the meeting, Mucunski expressed sincere gratitude for the solidarity that Greece showed during the tragedy in Kocani and the recent emergencies near Dojran.
“These were not just gestures of help, but true acts of friendship,” Mucunski emphasized, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
As reported, the meeting also discussed security – both regionally and globally.
Joint action within NATO and the need for close coordination in these uncertain times were confirmed. At the same time, the ministers addressed the European integration process of the Republic of North Macedonia into the European Union. In this regard, Minister Gerapetritis emphasized the strong support for our path of European integration.
“I want to emphasize once again Greece’s support for North Macedonia’s progress on its European path, based on the established conditionality and the principle of its own merits, with a particular focus on the fundamental criteria,” added Greek Minister Gerapetritis, the MFA said. /Telegraph/
