Kica Xhelili: Hypocrisy is being sold cheaply, but Kosovo will pay dearly

LDK MP, Doarsa Kica Xhelili, has reacted harshly to what she calls the deliberate sabotage of parliamentary procedures by a group of MPs within the Assembly.

Through a Facebook post, she denounced the extreme institutional disunity and raised the alarm about the violation of the constitutional order.

“There are two groups of deputies in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo,” says Kica. “One group INSISTS to vote according to the Constitution – for, against or abstain for the Speaker of the Assembly. The other group blocks by any means – imposes secret committees outside any procedure or interrupts sessions without order.”

According to her, the paradox lies in the fact that after each session, the request for punishment is addressed not to the saboteurs, but to the deputies who demand legality.

Kica did not spare any accusations against the Vetëvendosje Movement, calling them hypocrites and quoting the philosopher La Rochefoucauld: “Hypocrisy is the homage that vices pay to virtue.”

She says that VV no longer has even the vaguest shadow of honesty, but pretends to be so in public to gain support.

“Our society, by buying hypocrisy cheaply, will pay dearly for the collapse of the constitutional order, and with it – Kosovo,” she warns.

In the end, Kica expresses a glimmer of hope that citizens have woken up and will no longer fall prey to manipulation.

“Allow me the optimism, even if naive, to believe that we have awakened.”
