Two young NFL players have announced their respective retirements before the 2025 regular season.
The 2025 NFL regular season is right around the corner. NFL teams have officially reported for training camp. Preseason games are scheduled to begin within days.

Week 1, which starts with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Dallas Cowboys, is a little more than a month away. The Eagles and the Cowboys are scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. E.T. on Thursday, Sept. 4. It should be a good one.
However, ahead of the 2025 NFL regular season, two young NFL players have announced their retirements.

New York Jets running back Zach Evans, 24, announced his retirement from the National Football League on Monday.
Evans played collegiately at Ole Miss. He spent most of the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Rams. Evans signed with the Jets practice squad last year.

He was a sixth round pick out of Ole Miss in 2023.
Evans is not the only NFL player under 30 who is retiring this week.
Nate Herbig, a 27-year-old offensive lineman who has played for the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders.
The veteran offensive lineman, who was an undrafted free agent, started 30 games over the course of his career.
The NFL is a great sport, but it’s a difficult one, too.
