      Wikipedia says the man was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. There is no evidence to be found anywhere that he was “polish-born”. His name, [ZAKRZEWSKI, EDWARD J II](https://pubapps.fdc.myflorida.com/offenderSearch/detail.aspx?Page=Detail&DCNumber=554000&TypeSearch=IR), also speaks against this.

      This 1994 [newspaper article](https://www.newspapers.com/article/pensacola-news-journal-mary-esther-murde/147190956/) also says his family came from Michigan
