ASH: Albanian companies that benefited from the Hungarian loan do not even reach 10 percent

The Alliance for Albanians, through a press conference, reacted to the Hungarian loan received by the government of North Macedonia.
Arben Halili from ASH said that although 500 million euros from this loan were taken for the development of the economy, Albanian companies have benefited less, not even 10 percent.
He requested that the Government publish as soon as possible the criteria based on which these funds were allocated.
“The government signed a 500 million euro agreement with Hungary, no accountability, no list of beneficiaries, no names. While the government talks about development. Albanian companies remain discriminated against, since the Albanian companies that have benefited from these funds do not even reach 10 percent. We cannot remain silent when the government is using the Hungarian loan for clientelism while seeing Albanians as redundant. Therefore, we urgently demand the publication of the lists of beneficiaries, of the criteria based on which the funds were distributed. The government cannot play with citizens, the Hungarian loan is a debt that Albanians did not take but will pay, so if we remain silent today, tomorrow we will be complicit with our silence,” said Halili from the Alliance for Albanians.
