Professor of history at Oxford University and British expert on the Balkans, James Pettifer, said Kosovo should inform the world much more about its ancient history.

He made this reaction by distributing the writing of acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, about the ancient Roman city of Ulpiana, whose ruins are located near Pristina, and which continues to bring extraordinary discoveries thanks to the work of a team of archaeologists from Kosovo and France.

“Good news indeed. But Kosovo needs to inform the world much more about its ancient history. Very few books or even valuable brochures are available in many important places at the moment,” the British expert wrote.

Otherwise, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has written that a second inscription dedicated to Emperor Justinian and Empress Theodora has now been identified, referring to the construction of the episcopal basilica.

“Along with the previous inscription for Iustiniana Secunda, which was discovered two years ago also in Ulpiana, these are the only known dedications by Justinian in his region of origin – reaffirming his connection to Dardania and our Dardanian identity in Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages,” Kurti wrote in ‘X’.
