Bardhyl Mahmuti: Serbia and its workers, consciously or unconsciously, have been unleashed against today’s protest

Bardhyl Mahmuti said that today’s veterans’ protest defends the liberation war of Kosovo.
“Calls to mobilize against the injustices that are occurring in the so-called Kosovo Special Court have not left unmobilized even the regions that for various reasons, consciously or unconsciously, have lined up in support of the anti-Albanian strategy.”
Mahmuti has called on those who are against the protest to read the indictment filed by the prosecution in The Hague.
“I invite all those who have unknowingly taken a position against the protest to read the indictment filed against our liberation war (the part that is public) and you will see who is doing Serbian propaganda. This indictment clearly clarifies who the three key categories of this indictment are:
1. “members of the Joint Criminal Enterprise”, “instruments of the Joint Criminal Enterprise” and “opponents”.
– The category “members of the Joint Criminal Enterprise” includes members of the Kosovo Liberation Army and members of the Kosovo Provisional Government (KPK): “Hashim Thaç, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, Jakup Kasniqi, Azem Syla, Lahi Brahimaj, Fatmir Limaj, Sylejman Selimi, Rrustem Mustafa, Shukri Buja, Latif Gashi, Sabit Geci, as well as several other political and military leaders of the KLA and the KKP, including other members of the General Staff; ministers and deputy ministers of the KLP; KLA zone commanders, deputy zone commanders and other members of the zone command staffs; brigade and unit commanders; commanders and members of the police and intelligence services of the KLA and the KKP; other KLA soldiers and other KKP officials. All these individuals, by their actions and omissions, contributed to the achievement of the common purpose.” (Specialized Chambers and Kosovo Specialist Prosecutor’s Office. Case number: KSC-BC-2020-06, Annex 5 to the Amended Indictment and Related Documents, § 33-35):
2. The category “instruments of the Joint Criminal Enterprise” includes those persons who were not part of the “Joint Criminal Enterprise”, but who “were used by members of the Joint Criminal Enterprise to commit crimes in furtherance of the common purpose” (Ibid., § 35).
3. While the category of “opponents” includes persons who were, or who were considered to have been:
(a) collaborators or associates with FRY state forces, officials or institutions, or
(b) persons who did not support the aims or methods of the KLA and later the CPK, including persons associated with the LDK and Serbs, Roma and persons of other nationalities (Ibid., § 35).
In order to secure and exercise control over the entire territory of Kosovo, members and instrumentalities of the Joint Criminal Enterprise carried out large-scale or systematic attacks against the civilian population of the opponents in Kosovo and in areas of Northern Albania, at least from March 1998 to September 1999 (the indictment period)” (Ibid., §§ 16-17 and 32), persecuting, imprisoning, arresting and detaining them arbitrarily or unlawfully and committing other inhumane acts, cruel treatment, torture, murder and enforced disappearance of persons (Ibid., § 32).
According to the indictment, the Kosovo Liberation Army and the Kosovo Provisional Government are a “Joint Criminal Enterprise” and not only is no KLA soldier or official of the Kosovo Provisional Government excluded from this designation, but the spectrum of suspects also extends to people who were not involved in the KLA and the KPC, but who served as an instrument for the realization of the goals of the “Joint Criminal Enterprise”!”
He added that “therefore, Serbia and its workers, consciously or unconsciously, have turned against today’s protest!”
