Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with this morning’s fatal hit-and-run in Birkirkara, which claimed the life of a 42-year-old motorcyclist from Nepal.
The alleged driver, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old male passenger, both residents of Qormi, were arrested just hours after the incident in Triq Salvu Psaila.
An 18-year-old woman who had been arrested earlier in the day has been certified as having sustained grievous injuries in the crash.
Police investigations are ongoing, alongside a magisterial inquiry led by Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia.
