EU appreciates modernization of Kosovo Customs

On Tuesday, a generation of customs officers graduated at a ceremony organized to mark the 26th anniversary of the establishment of Kosovo Customs, which was held in the “1 Tetori” hall in Pristina.
Eva Palatova, acting EU chief in Kosovo, congratulated the newly elected customs officers and praised the progress achieved by this institution in reforming its recruitment and operations practices.
“Collecting 65.5% of tax revenues, Kosovo Customs is of essential importance for the financial stability of Kosovo. With EU technical assistance, Kosovo Customs is becoming more efficient, transparent and a modern organization ready to face future challenges,” said Palatova.
