Piotr Zielinski has to leave in order for Inter Milan to accelerate their long-standing interest in Genoa ace Morten Frendrup.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the two deals are mutually dependent.
Expectations were high when Piotr Zielinski signed a multi-year contract at San Siro last summer.
Indeed, the 31-year-old arrived as one of the best midfielders in Serie A after eight fantastic years at Napoli.
However, things have not gone his way in Milan.

Zielinski’s first season at Inter was disappointing, to say the least.
Therefore, the Serie A runners-up have already put him on the market, hoping to offload his significant €4.5 million salary.
Yet, the Pole’s underwhelming campaign at San Siro has limited his appeal.
As such, his exit doesn’t look probable.
Frendrup has been making strides in Serie A for years and seems ready to take his career to the next step.
However, unless they sell Zielinski, Inter cannot move forward with the signing of the Danish star.
