University professor, Arsim Bajrami, said that Kosovo has the right to monitor the processes at the Hague Tribunal, and this is not interference.

He emphasized that Kosovo has the right to ensure that justice is respecting standards.

Post:

The Republic of Kosovo has the right to monitor the judicial processes in the Special Court because this court, although located in The Hague and with international staff, is part of the Kosovo justice system and was established by a decision of the Assembly. Monitoring does not mean interference in its independence, but a guarantee that trials are conducted fairly and transparently, protecting the public interest and dignity of the country. Like any sovereign state, Kosovo has the right to ensure that justice that is done in its name respects the highest standards and does not distort the historical truth. In this function, the President, as a factor of unity of the people, should invite the relevant international organizations to monitor this process, which at the present stage is accompanied by serious violations of human rights as defined by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the ECHR and the standards of international criminal law.
